Immersive Historical VR Experience — San Francisco Creator Activation
Objective
Introduce San Francisco audiences to the immersive historical VR experience through firsthand content from local lifestyle, family, and things-to-do creators. Combine ongoing VIP invitations with three paid influencer partnerships and provide participating creators with a 10% audience discount code to encourage interest in ticket purchases. Ca
My Approach
I built the creator activation around a concentrated event moment, prioritizing locally relevant creators who could help build awareness through event-led social content.
I managed the creator pipeline from research and selection through personalized outreach, recruitment and booking, while coordinating RSVPs and guest-list logistics, content expectations and deliverables, along with creator-specific tracking links, paid creator negotiations and partnership coordination.
Throughout the activation, I managed creator relationships and deliverable follow-up as a white-label extension of the agency team, keeping the campaign moving from initial outreach through publication.
Campaign Execution
The immersive historical VR experience San Francisco gave local creators an opportunity to introduce their audiences to an immersive experience through firsthand visits and social storytelling. The campaign brought together organic VIP guests and paid creator partners, with outreach focused on local lifestyle, family, and things-to-do audiences. Participating creators were invited to share their experiences and offer followers a 10% discount on tickets. I managed the creator relationships and logistics behind the activation, from outreach and partnership arrangements through visit scheduling, guest coordination, campaign communications, and content follow-up. The report notes that technical issues affected the experience of four attendees, preventing them from publishing content. This is an important distinction between confirmed attendance and completed deliverables, and it illustrates why creator communication and content tracking matter throughout an experiential campaign. The project reflects my experience supporting agency-led activations through hands-on creator coordination, including the practical challenges that can arise between a confirmed booking and a published post.
Results
The activation mobilized 20+ creators to produce 100+ pieces of content, generating 450K+ views and 250K+ reach.
The campaign contacted 350+ creator profiles and secured 30+ bookings: 31 organic invitations and three paid partnerships. Twenty-four creators attended, with 50+ tickets used by creators and their guests. Twenty creators published content, generating 100+ posts and approximately 450K+ views across the overall campaign. Custom tracking links recorded 300+ clicks, and 20+ creators shared the audience discount code. Four attendees were unable to publish because of technical issues affecting their visits. The campaign therefore recorded an 83%+ posting rate among attendees, rather than treating every visit as a completed content partnership. My contribution centred on coordinating the creator pipeline, partnerships, attendance, communications, and deliverables throughout the activation while the agency handled final reporting.
